Gurumurthy Nagar
A Housing Board development takes shape on the northern edge of the city. The street grid that residents still walk is laid out.
1975
Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar
The locality is renamed Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar, the name it carries today.
1970s–80s
Archive in progressThe neighbourhood fills in
Schools open, shops take root, and the first generation of children grows up calling the ground theirs. This decade is the one we know least about, and the one most residents remember best.
1990s

SR Nagar becomes shorthand for a whole part of Hyderabad. The roads, businesses and arrivals that shaped that recognition are still being pieced together.
2000s

Neighbours begin organising around the ground and the events held on it. These are the beginnings of what became Groundism. The chronology is being assembled from the people who were there.
